Hey y'all! It's Rowyn again and today we are going to be talking about the process of making my commercial. I don't have much experience in editing or making videos from photos/videos but I have made this one video of me and my friends in 6th grade for this Harry Potter project we had to do. I distinctively remember me struggling the whole time haha, but I remember the hard work I put into it and me and my friends ended up getting the highest score in the class! I'm aiming for higher though since what we are talking about was 4 years ago. I believe I can improve my editing skills by working as hard I did in 6th grade. I remember I used IMovie when making the Harry Potter video so I redownloaded it after a very long time and was blessed by the old videos I used to make like 8 years ago haha. After like 2 straight hours of laughing and watching my old videos, I decided it was time to start putting together my commercial. At first it was confusing because I totally forgot how to use IMovie but I got it together quickly by watching YouTube tutorials of how to do special effects, add audio, and split videos. Yes, I know you are probably wondering how I figured it out when I was younger and if I'm going to be honest.. I have no idea. Maybe I was just super intelligent then and I didn't realize it. I do remember some things though. In IMovie you can't add the song you want unless you pay for it on Apple Music I believe. So on Youtube you have to screen record the song you want then go to IMovie and insert the recording as a video that isn't visible so it's only the audio. I forgot I had to do this so I watched a Youtube video for help and everything in my mind clicked again. As previously said in my Research and Planning blog, I chose the song Stubborn Love by the Lumineers. So I went to Youtube and searched it up and screen recorded on my phone the part of the song I wanted. I couldn't add the song to the commercial because I haven't added my photos or videos yet. So tomorrow I will start the whole process!
This was the video I used that helped me! |
